Reshoring Initiative wins national award
Harry Moser and the Reshoring Initiative team received the Made in America 2019 Reshoring Award during a four-day event, whose mission was to raise awareness for the economic, environmental and community impact of American-made manufacturers and brands. The Reshoring Initiative tracks and drives the reshoring and foreign direct investment trends.
Eriez expands Quick Ship Program
Eriez, Erie, Pennsylvania, has expanded its Quick Ship Program to include select sump cleaners and the SumpDoc portable fluid recycling system. Eriez sump cleaners quickly and thoroughly clean virtually any machine tool sump, tank or pit. These heavy-duty systems remove the coolant, sludge and chips from the sump and then filter the sludge and chips from the coolant. The filtered coolant is then returned to the sump or transported to an Eriez Recycling System or waste treatment area for disposal.
Kalamazoo Industries builds fab shop
Kalamazoo Industries, Kalamazoo, Michigan, has added a 5,000-square-foot custom fabrication center to its facility to eliminate the backlog of the company’s standard products. The new shop easily accommodates two massive units and a smaller unit, and provides space to develop new technology, like the TruArc oscillation system.
Weiler Abrasives partners with Pacesetter
Weiler Abrasives, Cresco, Pennsylvania, has partnered with Pacesetter Sales & Associates of McKellar, Ontario. Through this partnership, Pacesetter is representing Weiler Abrasives products and services throughout Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
Omax selects distributors
Omax Corp., Kent, Washington, has chosen Landmark Solutions as Southern California distributor and selected Capital Machine Technologies to represent Omax waterjets in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and Florida. Landmark Solutions and Capital Machine will sell Omax, Maxiem, GlobalMax and ProtoMax equipment.
Maysteel and Porter’s Group merge
Maysteel Industries LLC, Allenton, Wisconsin, and Porter’s Group, Gastonia, North Carolina, have merged. The company will continue to operate under the Maysteel brand name. The combined company will have over 1,000 employees with six manufacturing locations covering the U.S. and Mexico, and manufacturing partner locations in Europe.
