Master Fluid Solutions, Perrysburg, Ohio, launched the WEDOLiT brand in North America. WEDOLiT products offer short- and long-term corrosion protection, super-fast dewatering products, and VOC-free products that are environmentally responsible. The WEDOLiT range is suited for cold forming and tube and pipe manufacturing applications.
Champion Cutting acquires Mercer Industries
Champion Cutting Tool Corp., Rockville Centre, New York, supplier of high performance metal and concrete cutting tools, has acquired Mercer Industries, Ronkonkoma, New York, supplier of coated and bonded abrasives. The acquisition will give Champion’s customers a larger catalog of tools and, now, safety products. Champion’s geographic footprint will expand to the West Coast, as Champion takes over Mercer’s second distribution center in Fullerton, California.

Two Michigan companies win reshoring recognition
Die-Tech & Engineering, Wyoming, Michigan, and Trenton Forging Co., Trenton, Michigan, each received the 2020 National Metalworking Reshoring Award in recognition of their success in bringing manufacturing back to the United States. The award, from the Reshoring Initiative, honors companies that have effectively reshored products, parts or tooling made primarily by metalforming, fabricating, casting or machining, including additive manufacturing.
TAB Industries expands in-house capabilities
Fabricator TAB Industries LLC has installed a 3300 Bescutter fiber optic laser cutting system in its 44,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing center in Reading, Pennsylvania, which expands the metal shop’s in-house capabilities and reduces lead times for its customers.
Lincoln releases app
Lincoln Electric, Cleveland, introduced a new app that takes the guesswork out of preventive maintenance and ensures optimal performance from Ranger welder/generator units. The NEXTime App connects to most Lincoln Electric Ranger welder generators from up to 15 feet away to provide real-time data and alerts for the machine. This eliminates guesswork and confusion about equipment maintenance, and helps keep operators prepared for the job, especially in the field. The NEXTime App monitors battery and fuels status, provides maintenance alerts, and creates maintenance logs.
